True youth protection can be achieved only through the focused commitment of everyone in Scouting. It is the mission of Youth Protection volunteers and professionals to work within Scouting America to maintain a culture of Youth Protection awareness and safety at the national, territory, council, district, and unit levels.

- This training is required for all registered volunteers and is a joining requirement.
- Must be taken every year.
- If a volunteer’s Safeguarding Youth training is not current at the time of annual registration renewal, the volunteer will not be re-registered.

Remember, this information is still confidential and is only viewed/used by trained adult leaders so that they are aware of any conditions or concerns with the scouts while on campouts, activities, and adventures!
Class B shirts & items
While Class B is not strictly a uniform, we wear them to match!
Class B shirts consist of a Troop shirt, which can include a Troop-specific shirt, a Scout-themed shirt, or a scout summer camp-themed shirt. The outfit can include pants or shorts (cargo style is best), Class B sweatshirt, and optional Class B headwear.
Typically Class B items are worn for all non-Class A activities unless otherwise noted, including:
- Scout Meetings
- Camping or Hiking Trips
- Adventure Base Camp
- Community Service
- Eagle Scout project assistance
Often there are spare Class B shirts and items in the Troop Office; please see a scoutmaster if you are looking for anything!
